  • The 50A55-843 is an automatic gas interrupted ignition control that employs a microprocessor to continually monitor, analyze, and control the proper operation of the gas burner, inducer, and fan. Signals interpreted during continual surveillance of the thermo-stat and flame sensing element initiate automatic ignition of the burner, sensing of the flame, and system shut-off during normal operation.
  • Input Voltage: 25 VAC 50/60 Hz. Max. Input Current @ 25 VAC: 0.45 amp. Relay Load Ratings: Valve Relay:1.5 amp @ 25 VAC 50/60 Hz 0.6 pf .Ignitor Relay:6.0 amp @ 120 VAC 50/60 Hz (resistive). Inducer Relay:2.2 FLA–3.5 LRA @ 120 VAC. Circulator Relay:14.5 FLA–25.0 LRA @ 120 VAC.
  • The 50A55 has only one serviceable part–an automotive type fuse, which protects the low voltage trans-former from damage if its output is short-circuited. If the fuse has opened up, remove whatever caused the short circuit and replace the fuse with only a 3 Amp automotive type fuse. If the fuse is not the cause of the control's problem, replace the entire 50A55 control. There are no other user serviceable parts.
  • Superior Quality, advanced microprocessor-based high-precision PCB manufacturing, soldering and assembly technology, professional tests to ensure optimal performance and long-lasting reliability.
  • Note: to save yourself some hassle, please take a picture of the old one before removing it.Make sure getting the wires on the correct terminals. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our products, your satisfaction would be our greatest motivation.

Works great, installs as the orginal does. Just make sure that you install the wires correctly as the replacement has more ports on it.

I'm so disappointed. I have a Train with a control board 50A50-405 that needed to be replaced. After doing research I found this 50A55-843 control board would replace the currently installed board. After going through the hassle of having the unit installed professionally the control board it would not power the unit at all. The wires were matched exactly as those from the old control board. The board was defective when received. I would not give one star but other reviewers do state success after installing.

It's summer cooling season; and the furnace is in A/C mode. The blower started cutting in and out, then would stop running completely. I could hear the outside unit still running. Fearing that the evaporator would freeze up, began troubleshooting and isolated it down to the controller board. This unit was advertised as a possible replacement part. So I bought it and installed it. System works just fine now. I did notice that this control board starts the system in sequence; the outside unit is started, then a few seconds later, the blower is started (the old control board started both at the same time). Actually think this is better, as it doesn't throw such a big momentary load on my house's electrical system.
