Quad core coax is not common. Repair parts even less so. Served my purpose.

Same fittings that cable companies use/have used in the past. They do what they are supposed to do and get the job done without any leakage or signal loss if installed properly.

Works great with TruCables Quad Shielded direct bury cable. I tried these along side TruCables and channel Masters connectors and these performed just as well. I didn't have one bad connection. I would buy these again without hesitation.

The RG6 I find installed in my house is double-shielded. Preparing the coax as described does not work, because the RG6 cable does not enter the inner pipe deep enough, and the compressing tool pushes the cable out of the connector instead of inserting the inner pipe into the cable. On YouTube I found instructions of how to do it properly, which adds an extra step between the prep of the cable and the insertion into the connector, i.e. inserting the cable into a special tool that widens the shields sufficiently. After that, the cable inserts easily into the connector until the insulator is flush with the front of the inner pipe. The tool is made from a new or failed RG6 connector by breaking off the plastic part until only the inner pipe and the nut remain. The barb at the end of the inner pipe is ground off by hand or on the drill using a 3/16" mandrel, and the nut is fastened on an old drilled-out F connector that was glued into a handle. This tool is then inserted under rotation between the inner core of the coax and the wire meshes. and loosens the meshes sufficiently for the proper assembly on the connector.

PPC is one of the better cable connectors out there and are commonly used by the cable company's. If you strip your wire correctly these will work on both dual or quad cable. The key works here are strip correctly. Unlike connector specifically made for Quad Cable these are less forgiving you have to know how to strip Quad if you do it right then these will go right on. If you are trying to use these on older quad cable they may not work as well as quad only connectors but I never had any problems with the new stuff.

I really like these. I go through a lot of these connectors. You know you'll have a good tight fit, every time. I've bought some before, that after you crimped them, the bottom ring will come off. These are solid and well worth it, I will buy these again.
