I purchased 10 so far for our Barbershop. The ring lights work well on these and save floor space. Easy to install but suggest a larger washer be used so they are secure on wall.

Love the space saving aspect. The hardware is junk though. You’ll probably need better anchors for drywall or brick. Also I wish adjusting the position was easier to do while working. Lots of screws to turn to raise and extend it. Hard to do while wearing gloves.

We’re a little pressed for space in our studio, and we’ve long been planning to find a way to get light overhead in our shoots. We’ve had one of our best stands permanently stationed behind the backdrop for years. But there’s no room behind it, so putting a traditional boom on top just won’t work. This little number is the perfect solution to all those problems. Up and out of the way, we don’t have to dance around the legs of a light stand. With a good reach, we can put a strobe where we never could before. If your studio is space-constrained, this may be just the ticket. The included hardware has heavy-duty drywall anchors, but depending on what you will be hanging up there, I’d advise getting the hardware to anchor this into a stud at least on one side.Tiny wish: built-in cable management, so you could set it up to be able to extend fully without fiddling. With that, it would get SIX stars out of five.

This is very good and stable. I’m so tired of the tripod …

I am very impressed at the build quality and material for this boom. It works perfectly for my studio lights and gives me more room not having to use a tripod. I can just push it up out of the way when done. I stand by many others who have reviewed this boom that the build quality is just amazing. It is built solid and comes with a few different adjustments such as a small hex screw to turn the arm extension nob to an alternate position.I was surprised that it came with concrete plugs / but no bolts for other wall mounting options.I suggest making sure you mount this where there is a stud located behind the wall to provide the most stability as the mounting plate takes up a large surface area. Just use the 8 holes (4 top and 4 bottom) in the center of the mounting bracket to mount to a stud otherwise I would recommend good drywall anchors as an alternative as the boom itself weighs over 3 lbs without anything attached to it.But this is a fantastic boom and an excellent value. I will be getting a couple more of them.Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
