Each pack includes (6), (12) or (18) handmade mini sola balls ready to play with. These are smoothly cut tiny sized chewable foot toys made from sola wood. The balls are created by tying together many pieces of sola wood, formed into a sphere shape, cut to size and left to air dry. Sola is a super lightweight wood, similar to balsa, which allows for the smallest of pets to enjoy and interact with it. The balls are completely chewable, natural and bird safe.

Each Mini Sola Ball is very light in weight making it easy for pets of all small sizes to manipulate them. The soft pithy material is easy to grab for beaks and feet.

The spheres are made from many pieces of sola wood thats been laid out, tied together, cut to size and air dried. These balls are made by hand from start to finish and are entirely chewable.
Can easily be broken up.
The balls can be broken by beaks and hands for added foraging material. Poke holes through the balls and string them up around the cage or from other larger toys. My rescue Amazon loves these toys. He is so cute with them. He takes his time destroying them - like he is drawing out the pleasure. The first one I gave him, it took him a while to warm up to, but once he tried it, he now loves them. Honestly they do not last long if he really gets to chewing, but that is part of the fun. Watching him enjoy himself. Yes, they are a bit expensive but pretty much all parrot toys are. I try to keep a variety of destruct toys for him to choose from. He is a big foot toy bird and these fit his needs.

Keeps both birds busy chewing up and destroying these things. Do not expect these to be some they will play with, they are 'busy' items that entertain the birds.

Just wanted to mention that someone said these were styrofoam or something--they are NOT. Sola is a plant with a very pithy texture, and the balls are made by cutting sola to form various shapes. They are bird safe as far as not being toxic, but you might have a dumb bird who might try to actually eat these. Since at least one of my budgies liked to throw around her Avi-berries, I thought she might like the balls. I put one in the cage and they seemed frightened off it at first, but have basically ignored it since (though maybe they do play with it when I'm not looking because it has moved around its position from time to time). I have considered trying to figure out how to make this into something that can be hung or attached to the cage bars, but I might accidentally end up crumbling up the delicate material. They may still play with it later on. Right now, they seem to be absorbed in a couple of other "flashier" toys I just put int their cage. I also know that what they don't like now, they may love later on. EDIT: They love these things. If I roll on the balls back and forth, they (or at least one of them), will pick up the ball and toss it around. However, usually they just pieces of the sola off and chew on the pieces like bubble gum (they don't swallow it; they just chew and drop the crumbs). hey also threw a whole sola ball into their bath dish, but this occurred when I was out of the room, so I don't know if they were playing with it in the bath or not. They especially like to fill their water bowl with the pieces, so I have to change the water frequently. They had started to do this with the oats in their seed mix, so I didn't realize right away that they were doing it with the sola. They don't seem to be actually eating their "porridge", but they've already gone through all of them. So, yeah, I would order these again as long as they seemed to enjoy making a mess with these!
