When used with 5/16" chain, the shallow throat opening allows for easy and secure connections and ensures that your chain won't slip. Hook is stamped with "G70" for easy identification and meets all DOT regulations for Grade 70 Transport when used with 5/16" Grade 70 Transport chain.

I use a lot of 1/4 and 5/16" chain and occasionally break then. Rather than shutting my project down, I can install these on the ends and continue working. Works for both size chains.

The product is perfect and exactly what I need. But I know the description said quantity 2. I ordered 4 and got 4 instead of 8. But it's still a good price for what other places are selling them for.
