Once I mounted and remounted my drives I figured out the best placement. I first mounted them too far forward using the screw holes on top. I then changed the mounting so that they were further back, this made it easier to connect the SATA cables, not easy but easier.TBH it was easier just to leave them sitting on top of my optical drive, but I didn't like how jury rigged that seemed, so bought and installed this.I like that screws were included.

Really easy to install the drives. Included hardware was a great bonus.Being able to install up to 6 small ones in a single 5.25" bay is awesome!Compared to the cost of 'industrial' options, this is honestly great value.I am currently using it for one 3.5" and two 2.5" HDDs in a pool drive configurationin a home file server that also has 4 other 3.5" drives in it.It's on old 2000s desktop case and I have yet to run into any heating issues despite the lack of airflow. The only problem I could see with this design is if all drives are being used at once consistently,it may start to rise in temps, or, if used in a build of several of these. However, I don't see this as a negative as the design is quite obvious with the includedpictures and for most people buying this, it is unlikely they will be running 24+ drives intheir case without adequate cooling. For those who are, worst case, drill a few holes. Problem solved. For the price you can't go wrong. It hasn't let me down on temperatures and I will definitelybe buying more in the future. If you are looking for something higher end, it won't be anywhere near this price let alone 2 figures usually.

Slapped this into an old Dell workstation and it gave me an extra drive bay in a small chassis.
