Convenient. And at less than ten dollars per sock, it's an affordable option for protection against rust, chips, scratches, and moisture barrier. I really like the anti-corrosion this sock is embedded with. Great idea and makes a thoughtful gift someone would like to have.

We call this the Redneck Stocking in my house. Stuff a gun in here and you have a happy redneck.According to my redneck not all guns are hardcase friendly. The redneck also says that guns should not be stored in the gun safe without some type of protection. Enter the gun sock. The silicone enhanced weave helps prevent scratches, rust, finger prints and dust in the fiddly bits.Since the sock stretches pretty much any style of gun will fit. He's got rifles with and without scopes in the socks. He's got guns with and without accessories in the socks.They also seem to be a redneck favorite when packing for a redneck trip. Again no banging around and scratching finishes.

Love this sock. It is really soft and thick and has great stretch to it. It is very easy to slide your firearm into (12ga.). I am a bit neurotic about keeping my shotgun in like new condition and really don't want to get any dings, dents, or scratches in it. This makes me feel much better about storing the just maintenanced and cleaned firearm. The cable lock fits snugly inside and I don't worry about it sliding around and scratching anything while inside the sock. The sock is also thick enough that you can't really see through it even when it is stretch around the weapon.

If it has s special or not, this sock is protection against shelf wear or gun case foam depreciation. Cheap, but well worth it. All of my better guns are in a gun sock.

I have purchased several of these from this maker and been happy with them. They are coated with silicone, which helps prevent rust on firearms, which is a great feature.I got this 52" one for a longer, WWI era rifle that I purchased that won't fit into my safe. I wanted to store it in something that will help reduce the possibility of rusting in the Florida humidity. I still wipe down my rifles with a quality oil after cleaning before they're stored, but having this silicone sock just adds another layer of protection.

When you don't use your gun(s) for long periods of time it is good to keep them dry, yet not to be sandwiched between foam. Foam cases can actually draw moisture in and have it next to the steel of the gun, or if you try to avoid that and wipe it down with oil then put in the encased foam it can deteriorate the foam and make it melt on to the gun. So don't leave your gun in a carry case for long periods. However, if you have to, you can put your gun in a gun sock first, it will provide a barrier between the foam and the gun. The silicone on these sleeves doesn't dissolve the foam and it is a rust inhibitor. If you're not keeping them in a carry case you still have the protection from rust, ding, knocks and scratches, and these feel like they would do just fine. All said, these socks seem like they will do a good job for most uses. Just remember KEEP YOUR FIREARMS AWAY FROM CHILDREN, they don't understand how easy it is. Keep our rights safe.

I am a fan of this cover. I'm using the cover to keep the dust off my Civilian Marksmanship Program Daisy 853 with rear sight installed. I've also used with large scopes on conventional powder rifles and the cover stretches over the scope with no issue. For rifles that I'm transporting, these work great in a pinch to keep the rifle covered and protected against injury to the furniture.
