But not for permanent connections. I tend to use them for temporary connections, particularly line voltage AC. Let’s say I have a stack of light fixtures with only pigtail wires, and I need to try each one out on power. I can have a power cord with these terminals attached, and the quickly and safely trying out each fixture with the spring loaded clips. The block itself is well insulated and relatively safe for transient use (I don’t connect anything under power). I can try out dozens of fixtures in no time.

These are good connectors for projects with low voltage/low amps. It states 6A however the pictures show distribution boxes with cables with amperage clearly design for higher amps and will not fit this small connector.The low rating is for the fact of misleading photos which are generic and do not show the connectors in use and per electrical code would not be allowed as the breakers shown are clearly above 6A capacity.Secondly these are not UL listed and therefore would probably NOT be approved by an inspector in any application pictured in the add. At 6A these could start getting hot, I am setting up a project to use that runs at constant 6A and will be able to tell. But if the small wire gets hot, it will heat the plastic and potentially cause an unsafe live wire/ground issue, which is what the UL testing/certification would have determined in testing.So for small robotics applications/electronics applications these would probably do just fine. Just please do not use them in your home without discussing with a lic electrician or your local code athorities.
