The package arrived unmolested, undamaged, however after opening package there was salt all over the shipping box, the top of the container looked like it was removed and put on cross-threaded and the spout was open. The container itself had an oily substance on it. After retrieving the loose salt in the shipping box, I was short about one-quarter of the material. Being that the shipping box was flawless, it suggests to me that this did not happen in shipping, it happened in packaging or pre-packaging. After reading the reviews and comments on this particular product it seems I was not the only one who experienced the same problem.

When I opened the box, there was ice melt all over the inside of the box. The container of ice melt was not closed, nor could it be closed. What a mess.

I have a Golden doodle who has very sensitive skin on his paws. I wanted a product that would not irritate his paws and would also melt the snow and ice efficiently. This product fits my requirements perfectly. This is the second winter I have used it and I am pleased with how quickly it melts the snow and ice and also does not appear to irritate my dog's paws. Highly recommended.
