These bits do work. I used them on glass and tiles. They were impressive on glass. They didn't slide around on initial placement and they went through smoothly and quickly leaving a very smooth hole. On tile, they worked as well. The start of the hole, through the glass surface, went well but on thicker tiles they bogged down and smoked like there was something smoldering down there. You need to keep water handy because the bit will heat up too much and probably loose its sharp edge. It got through but with more effort than the glass. They're still a good bit to have on the job.
