I really like this sander. It felt a little weird at first without a handle. This is my first palm sander. After a little getting comfortable, it is pretty nice. It handles well, has a decent heft, and definitely does the job.This was also my first sander with a velcro pad. Says something about my age, doesn't it. I like the velcro system. It holds securely and releases when intended.I can't really speak to long term durability, but it surely feels well made. I think it is a good deal for a good sander. It is definitely worth giving it a shot!!

I ordered this sander to try using an air sander when sanding my bowls on the lathe. I found it works very well. It has a good hook and loop disk and is easy to fit into the inside of the bowls as well as using it on the outside.My small compressor is able to handle this machine with no problem. I have a couple of old electric P-C five inch sanders that also use the hook and loop system (changed over from adhesive sanding disks) so I can use the same sanding disks on all.This sander is not too noisy and the dust is about the same as my electric sanders.
