They work just fine but not as expected. I bought these under the impression they were shiny chrome as pictured which would match other pulleys I have nearby. They're somewhat dingy / matt silver. Bummed but not heart-broken.

Because the swivel loop is large and rotates so freely, these pullies are very easy to use all my plant hanging hooks. These are very sturdy and will last forever. Nice looking too. Great value. I don't know how they are making these from stainless at this price.

And does not hang-up by slipping down between the sides of the pulley and support when tension is removed from the cord. I'd have to get another ladder to go up 20' to release the jammed parachute cord.

I built a rectangular metal bucket hoist to pull stuff like groceries and firewood upstairs to our apartment. We're both dealing with bad knees and not so good balance. I installed a block and tackle rig with light rope, but it kept hanging up on the edge of the porch supports when you pulled it up. So I ran the ropes below the block through these pulleys and hooked the pulleys to the outside edge of the roofline to pull the bucked clear of obstructions to its ascent. Worked like a charm. Between the three and the block I can lift a goodly load of firewood.
