I purchased 2 of these products to have on hand for my ford super duty is had the screen on my truck break from a piece of rubber from my turbo connector boots from inside the boot it wore n a piece of it hit the screen n put stint tear in it and get stuck in the ipr valve n let me stuck on side of the road i ordered this as I sat waiting for tow truck n I received it the next day n I used the socket n removed the ipr valve cleaned it out n installed new screen and my truck had been running great . thats why i ordered a second kit to keep in my truck incase it ever happens again I have it on hand . it did not take that long to remove and clean the valve n install the screen and reinstall the valve back into the housing I did it in about 45 minutes . thanks worked great.

The socket is made out of soft steel and will spread when trying to break the valve loose. I had to put a hose clamp around the end of the socket after I inserted it on the valve to keep it from spreading and slipping on the nut.The screen that comes with this socket is junk. Throw it away and buy OEM.If you’re only going to use this once, you can use this hack and get by and save some cash at the same time. Otherwise, buy a quality tool.
