Install was a breeze and it fit perfectly. Only giving 2 stars because I must have received a faulty battery. It only powers on for a short time and then suddenly turns off.

I took my nook to be repaired. I can't say for sure, but they told me the battery was dead. Don't know how reliable they are, but had no way to tell the battery had juice either. They may have been upset because I didn't get the battery from them. ;)

The garmin I have had never shown a full charge; the battery was weak to begin with, but wasn’t going to drive a few hours to exchange.Decided to give this a try. Watched a couple videos on how to do this, then jumped in. It went smoothly, but I made a point not to rush. Took a couple charges (2) for it to show full charge,and it does! And it also maintains that charge as well. Best investment for this unit.

It was my wife's Nook that needed the new battery and she was just going to complain that it went dead after 15 minutes. I insisted she replace the battery and ordered this. Now, I'm 75 years old, but after watching the Youtube video it took me about 20 minutes to complete the battery replacement. Most of that time was spent taking out and putting back in the 17 tiny screws.This is an excellent kit. It gives you almost everything that you need to complete the job plus some tools you may not need. The tool kit is important in giving you the right tool to remove the bezel without breaking it and the right screwdriver. The battery fits perfectly but I suggest you have some double-sided tape handy before you start. The video talks about reusing the tape but it's much easier to just put on some new. It's used to hold the new battery in place while you close things up. As you remove the screws put them in a small dish so you don't drop one. They are very tiny.

Very easy to install w/ the online install procedure on YouTube. Took me about 10 minutes to complete the job (remove front panel, remove about 10-15 small screws, remove back panel, pull out battery cable, and then reverse install order. There were some adhesive tape along the front panel and back panel, so don't force anything. So far so good! I'll return to rate battery life... The original battery lasted about 5 years with daily reading and some web surfing about an hour/daily. I hope this battery last as long.

First the good stuff... the battery is working perfectly. The plastic pry tool certainly is a must and the guitar pick as well. {use the pick on the glass side of the bezel as it is glued. Loosening the glue allows you to get the pry tool in on the other side} Now the not so good... the screw driver is the correct size but of such quality that it stripped after only half the bolts. (there are twenty of them) Fortunately I purchased a Professional Screwdriver/ Repair kit from Amazon previously. Not only did it have the correct size but the unlike the supplied "tool" it was magnetic. (those screws are very, very small for big fingers). Once the bezel is off and the screws are removed ( watch out for the one screw in the corner near the large hole. It has come out to). Replacing the battery was easy. My Nook is of age and B&N doesn't offer anything this is a much better way to go. Particularly if the company can source a better screwdriver.

I installed it yesterday, and my 3 year old 9" Nook works perfectly. We bought it because it was 50% less than the other brand. It was easy to install because I watched the video on YouTube about installing the battery. The only negative was the torx screw driver---it stripped and is unusable in the future. I'm going to buy a 6 driver quality set in case I ever install another battery. (It would be nice if the seller would charge one dollar more and send a hardened steel torx driver.)Three days later: I have purchased a Husky 18 piece precision screwdriver set at Home Depot for $9.97. It contains 6 torx screwdrivers---T3, T4, T5, (which is the one you will need for the Nook 9"), T6, T7, and T8. The steel is quality and hardened, and they come with a lifetime warranty. I took my Nook tablet apart---tightened up all my screws, and it is as good as new.
