Although this thermometer is not intended for ovens, I thought I would try it that way, and it turns out to be better than the previous oven thermometers that I have owned. It's easy to read, accurate, and has a high temperature threshold, which I definitely need for bread baking. I'm very happy with this grill thermometer, used as an oven thermometer.

Works great and is a perfect fit in my Weber. It is accurate to 5 degrees for my grill.

I got this to replace a broken thermometer on my old charbroil grill. It fit perfect in the existing metal surround piece. I compared it to another thermostat that I got for my smoker and you can see in the pictures that the temperature is about the same. I used a electronic thermometer as well. It was off slightly on the temperature (about 15 degrees or so). The last time I bought one of these, it didn't hold up very long so time will tell if it breaks or fails early but so far so good. I'll update the review if it does.

I rigged this to place in my oven because it's my oven is a gas range with analog controls so there's no way to tell the temperature accurately. I got this because I knew I could attach some hooks to it and hang it right where I would need it to measure where I bake bread. So far it's working well and can handle the heat just fine. Now I can know better which settings for my oven will give me the right temperature inside the oven.

I liked how accurate this temperature gauge was. I placed it in some boiling water and it showed right around210-215 degrees which is spot on. Glass did not fog up so that tell me that it is sealed off so it will be good to sit outside. Works perfect on my grill.

I got this to install on my 22" Weber Kettle Grill. The grill didn't come with a thermometer so this was a DIY add-on. It was an easy install though -- a ⅜" drill bit was the perfect size for the threaded portion of the thermometer to fit into the grill's dome (made sure to spray a little Rustoleum over the bare metal to prevent rusting/corrosion). Then I just tightened the wingnut and done.The only caveat is that this gauge comes with an additional bit of metal at the top (in the back) which protrudes far enough outward that it prevents the thermometer from properly sitting flush against the dome. It's obviously meant to slide into a corresponding slit in the lid and prevent the thermometer from spinning. Unfortunately, I have no tools to make that kind of slit in the dome. But with the wingnut amply tightened, this thing won't be spinning anyway. So I just cut it off with a pair of metal cutters and filed down the rest. The gauge sat perfectly flush afterwards.
