I wired it as was intended with a 120v appliance wire, tested it with regular leads, and prepared to use it as a battery charger with some custom DC alligator leads. Plugged it in, set the voltage, and IMMEDIATELY upon connecting the load to the supply, I saw the bright flash of an arc of electricity on the inside, whereupon it ceased working.Do not buy it, it is not worth the money and comes with no instruction on how to safely use it. It's a waste of time and did not fit my needs.

This thing works very well, goes into current mode and voltage mode as expected, and the fan only turns on as needed under high load. I use it on my RV to feed in parallel with my solar panels into my solar charge controller, when connected to shore power. The back-feeding of the solar array into this power supply when unpowered turns on the green LED on the supply, so I'll probably install an ideal diode soon to stop that small amount of waste when running in solar mode. The MPPT charge controller complains that it can't target the max power point when this supply feeds it (because it's not a solar array), but it still charges the battery at max current, so whatever, still works great.

I'm using this power supply in lieu of the one that came with my 600w 48VDC brushless spindle motor on my cnc. I love that it has 2 controls, one for voltage out, the other for amperage. The fan, which is almost silent, is thermostatically controlled.I use the voltage potentiometer to control the rpm's on the spindle motor. The power supply is very stable. When I adjust it, it stays at the voltage chosen. This translates into a very stable supply for the spindle motor. When I set the voltage to the rpm's that I want, the voltage is stable therefore the rpm's are stable and consistent. This translates into incredibly accurate cnc cuts. The "R"s in the picture I'd about 3/8" high.

I use this for bench testing a variety of chip amps and car amps from 12-36v. I like the level of adjustability and how it shows me what my amperage draw is when I load them. The fan is nice and quiet. Good value for the money. Would recommend.

I had been using this power supply to charge batteries and it died charging a LiPO4 battery. The seller provided so fix suggestions and when they didn't work they provided a replacement unit that has been going strong. I'd highly recommend as this power supply because can charge just about anything

Disappointed in this product. The pictures are misleading or the power supply doesn't work properly. You can adjust the voltage and I metered it so all good there but not the currant (amps). The amperage display only shows the draw. The dial does nothing. I tried the current dial with powering up a device and without and again it does nothing. I have a test power supply that lets me set a precise voltage and amperage but only goes from 0-2 amps and 0-30 volts so I was hoping this was about the same but higher voltage and amps. Debating on returning this since it does not do what it says it should.

Came damaged but works taking off one star for poor packaging and also it is rather light weight compared to my other one which means cheaper hardware but for now works fine.

This power supply is the standard box supply that you see just about everywhere. This one has voltage and current adjustments making it suitable for a general-purpose bench supply. I found mine was adjustable from 0-55 volts. The meters read fairly close to my multimeter within maybe a few tenths of a volt. It's not lab accurate but perfect for general bench work. A nice feature is that the fan does not operate until it reaches a hot temperature. I drew 9 amps for at least 5 minutes before the fan started. When it did it was mainly a whoosh of air without squeaks and other strange bearing noises, so I found the noise acceptable. When the temperature goes below threshold the fan stops. Key things to note. An AC cord is not included so you will want to order a switched 3 prong AC cord with tinned wires for connection to the power supply. For Hams this supply does produce RFI but I was able to choke it off pretty well with a ft-240-31 ferrite with 12 turns on the DC output. This would only be an issue if you are using it with radios and the RFI can be tamed. A nice power supply at a reasonable price.
