This pole is not very sturdy; The post and the base are joined together in such a way as to not hold the pole in place securely. The base is entirely closed, meaning, you can't access it see how the pole is attached to the base - I'm assuming a weld. Having a structure higher up from the base to hold the pole, and a bolt to tighten it, might be an improvementI think with some design refinements (e.g. more support for the post and a way to tighten it securely) this could be an awesome product, allowing freestanding support for various plants, bird feeders, wind chimes, etc.The parts that required assembly went together well, and it was easy to attach the poles together.This is about the perfect size, though it could be a little higher for bird feeders.With some minor refinements to the design to secure the post, this could be a great value for the price.

Well…. It’s good for tissues. It lasted a whole 30 minutes with a 5 pound ornament. It’s flimsy and over priced. Nasty and useless!

This is a perfect humming bird feeder hanger. The base is just heavy enough to stay put. Assembly is easy. The finish is tough! Nice patio accessory. Looks good and works great.

I purchased this for my mother who is in an Adult Family Home. She has a wireless speaker that allows her to hear her TV better and this Shepards hook allows the speaker to hang closer to her ear so she doesn't have to strain to hear and the volumn can be lower. It is doing exactly what it was purchased for. Very happy.

Item arrived quickly and completely. This comes with three post extensions, the base, and the shepherds hook. When every pice is used, the extensions begin to bend and I'm sure they would break if allowed to rest with weight suspended from the hook. Removed one extensions, and everything works well, though it is not as high as we would like

In theory, this shepherds hook is terrific. We were looking for a way to have a hook on our balcony. We really enjoy our hooks that are dug into our yard. they are sturdy and are able to support full bird feeders and the assaults of squirrels as they look to grab the bird food. I was really hoping to have the same kind of stable situation on our 2nd floor balcony, so I ordered this stand. It's just ok. I guess I should have known by the weight that it wouldn't be able to support too much wight. You've gotta have weight to counter the hanging weight, right? I'm toying around with ideas to stabilize it. Maybe placing a heavy flower pot on the base? Anyway, I guess my advise would be to look further if what you'd like to hang is anything but extremely light.

Took it out of the box, put the post into the base receiver, the connection came apart and now the post won't stand up straight and spins in the base receiver. No way to get in to see how it was connected. Cheap construction.

The "EGOMYRON 63 Inch Adjustable Shepherds Hooks for Outdoor Indoor, Wind Chime Stand for Patio, Balcony, Home, Shepherd Hooks for Bird Feeder, Lantern, Wind Chime, Hanging Plants" is just what we needed to help dress up the bypass door we have in our living room WITHOUT putting a hole in the wood! It's very easy to assemble and looks great. The 16" sectioned stand pole allows for 3 height options, which is cool and will definately be utilized as our seasonal decor changes. It will likely see duty on our deck in summer moths as well. If so, we will place a large pot on the large, flat rectangular base to make sure it won't topple in the wind.I am disappointed though in the support strength of the hook. The Product Description doesn't show a weight capacity nor did anything included with product. The hook leaned forward significantly when I first hung a music box lantern weighing about 3 lbs on it. So I checked the thumbscrew holding the pole, wiggled the pole around a bit in the stand base to make sure it was seated and retighted the wing screw. While it was improved, the pole still leaned forward. So I wouldn't reccomended hanging anything over 5 lbs on it. So a decent oil or a hurricane lamp is OK but not so much for big, beautiful fuscia in a hanging basket.Still....RECCOMENDED!!!!!!👍👍👍👍
