This is really good for making many cups of tea. It has a big infuser for tea leaves and holds enough water for at least four normal sized American style mugs. Even though it's glass, it holds it heat for an oddly long time. Highly recommend.

Great size and it works very well. The only problem is is that I hit it on something hard and cracked it. I really miss this product. It worked very well to make tea in.

My husband is from Central Asia, and grew up drinking loose-leaf tea. I spent a few years over there, as well, and like tea. We still have our metal, water kettle and porcelain tea pot that we used when we lived over there, but, got out of the habit of using them. We saw a "fancy-schmancy" tea pot like this while visiting Central Asian friends, recently. The wife liked that her basket went so far down so if she wasn't filling the pot up very full, the tea in the basket could still steep. I don't think I would have thought of that. So, when we got home from our trip, I started looking for tea pots similar to hers. We settled on this one. WE LOVE IT! THE BASKET GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM SO YOU CAN FILL IT UP AS LITTLE AS YOU WANT AND THE TEA WILL STILL REACH THE WATER. I cannot attest to how it performs on a stove top, as I have an electric, rapid boil kettle to heat the water which I then pour into here. If it breaks or stops working and pisses me off, I'll update and let you know, but so far, I'm super stoked and use it all the time. *I also love the little, wire swirl that fits into the spout. I originally thought it was silly and unnecessary, but, it's genius! It makes the liquid pour out perfectly, and drip free every time!

I can say this from experience of owning 5 of them. They did not break due to heat/cold. They broke due to my negligence. This one though is outstanding. Not only is it easy for my chubby hands to get inside and scrub. But it's large size lets me steep a "Large" amount of tea. The tea strainer reaches within an 1/8 of an inch from the bottom of the pot so if you want only a couple of cups you can brew it (the water reaches the tea in the strainer). It does not drip when you pour.

Using for mulled cider. Works great. The little wire gizmo for the spout is surprisingly handy. I thought I'd end up tossing that piece but glad for extra straining ability. Largest size I could find. Recommend
