Cute for at home practice but the bottom does not grip well and slides on both carpet and wood floors.

My 8 year old can set this up and enjoy by herself! It’s so easy and light but supports her while she works on her skills.

I got the 8ft balance beam for my son who is 5 and just started taking very basic gymnastics. So far he has really loved it. I don't seem to be having the issues other reviews state such as slipping or the foam flattening. He hasn't experienced any slipping or the foam not supporting him correctly. We place it on our hardwood floors and it stays in place for the most until he gets crazy with it. But he just enjoys balancing across it like an obstacle course and practicing different yoga moves while standing on it. That being said, he is probably smaller and lighter so those issues aren't as apparent. I did notice when I stand on it then it depresses the foam a bit but I'm a grown man. Overall though it has been great to get his energy out and has been perfect for my uses.

My five year-old is in gymnastics and loves the balance beam. This is perfect for her to practice at home. I love that you can fold it in half or make it longer. And it’s also perfect for some hot lava games. Would definitely buy again.

I think this is better suited to younger children being supervised during playtime who want to walk or hop on the balance beam, with the added assistance of holding an adults hand if necessary. Little ones are sure to love the bright colors, and adults will love the included carry case! I think it’s a little soft for older children who are looking for an at home balance beam to practice beginning tumbling moves. It’s low to the ground, reducing risk of big falls, but older kids will want firmer foam to lower risk of rolling ankles.

I expected much more from the product given the price. It is lightweight and easy to take on the go. Right out of the box I noticed the stitching was off in one of the areas. I thought it would be great for my niece to practice here at home but it slides around a bit on the floors and soft carpeting. There are other options of balance beams I would consider before purchasing this one if I were you.
