Got these blocks to try my hand at whittling as I’ve been watching some YouTube videos on how to whittle gnomes and little wizards and the lake. These blocks are surprisingly easy to carve. They are very soft however they still have enough grain to make straight even cuts and the wood rolls up Just like normal wood however it’s much easier to carve than something like pine. I suggest these for anyone that is new to whittling or experienced, they seem to be all of very good quality and the same dimensions consistently plus they give you a few different shapes for whatever you want to make

Great little set of wood blocks! Found these on sale, and they were perfect. Zero voids, knots and no discoloration. All seven pieces were perfectly square and flat. Minimal packaging with wrapped and sealed blocks, presumably to keep moisture out. Used for laser cutting and etching, with no issues. Will definitely buy this set again!

I've been using this for prototyping cnc parts before moving onto aluminum as I am new to cnc work and it helps me make sure I have all of my paths correct before moving onto more expensive material. It's been working out great, cuts easily, doesn't splinter, and maintains a consistent surface finish after cutting.
