Decided to try to use one of those new silly 110 welders that fit in the palm of your hand to repair a spot under my old rusty truck. What I have learned:+++110 welders are a pain in the bum.+++These rods are extremely prone to having the incense flavoring flake off at the slightest disturbance. Say if you drop it two inches from the ground, you are left just holding a bare metal rod with fuzzy boots on.++++I could not get these to maintain a spark state on the palm-sized welder. These rods are probably not what you want to go with if you are using the world's tiniest welder.++++However, I did use these same rods on a 220 and they worked very well, excellent penetration, smooth beading, strong, so easy a caveman could do it.+++Unless there are rods out there made specifically for the baby-d stick welders, I would avoid the tiny stick welders altogether, unless it's 110 degrees outside you are going to stick your rod 5 times a minute I don't care how good you are. It's just not enough umpth to maintain continuous heat, at least not on a heat-sink of an old truck.Good rods tho for sure.
