The tips work well, sadly they have a very short service life. At $15.00 each their life expectancy should be longer.

Not as nice as they used to be but usable. This is the first time I changed mine since I bout the gun 40 some years ago. I used it alot to. If you take care of them they last. Been wanting to change it for a long time. I finally did. Nice using a new tip. Lol.

These are used in many Weller soldering guns. Weller also made soldering guns for lots of other vendors. For example these fit my father's Montgomery Wards Soldering iron that HAS to be better than 60 years old.These are good quality and tin quickly. Remember to tin them when you first heat them up and they will serve you well.Some people use soldering guns (or irons) to cut (melt thru) plastic. I suppose these would work for that but I'd suggest a heaver gauge tip if you want to do that. Same for burning wood.BTW, it's been my experience that if you DO cut plastic with these tips they aren't going to be any good for soldering after that. I've already warned my wife about that :)

I purchased these tips and it fits fine and works as intended. If I had really thought more about it, I would have actually ordered the 7135N instead of the 7135W. The "N" comes with nuts installed and the tip ends bent ready to be installed. The old nuts are well worn from using pliers to tighten them and new ones would have made things a lot easier especially when the difference in price is so small. If needed in the future I would order the 7135N.

It was a bit tricky to know if this was the right tip as my gun is about 8 generations old, but it was the right wattage (critical) and seemed to be the right shape. It was. Easy enough to bend the ends to fit the nuts of the gun, and it now heats up much faster. And I have a spare tip for about 20 years from now!
