Installed for roughly 2 months and already does not work. Troubleshooting says unplug it and plug back in and that didn’t work. Called the company for help and were not open. Called today and had to leave a message because no one was available. This woman called back and was extremely rude, anyway long story and I don’t feel like typing anymore. I do NOT recommend buying one!

The price is right, the product does exactly what it's supposed to. We have well water with lots of iron and have tried several options, this product works.

I purchased the same model number that I had experience with a “BOSS” bought 18 years ago. Zero problems. 18 yrs of hard work. I live on a lake and use a well (which has a very high mineral ph) The new one hasn’t been installed . We’ll see…can’t say much about the company service techs that I called. They never called back. Affordable and quiet,

I have owned and used a WB700 now for 11 years. During the previous 10 years the only problem that I encountered was the "brine tank overflow" that is a common complaint. The first time that I encountered it, I found that the connection hoses, which have plastic couplers, had stripped the connections on the WB. I carefully cut 1/4" off the WB male ends and replaced the hoses with ones with metal couplers. The next time that the brine tank began overflowing I called WB and they sent out a new brine tank valve for about $40. Still overflowing. I thought that the only other way water could be migrating from the pressure side, the resin tank, was a hole in the resin tank. I pulled the resin tank out, capped the outlet connector and pressurized the inlet connector from a garden hose. Sure enough there was a microscopic stream coming out of the tank. Others have criticized the 2 part plastic resin tank but the failure was not at the joint. With some 2 part epoxy that problem was solved. Two months ago I found that the upstairs shower was significantly lower in pressure. I called the city and they said check your water softener. I opened the bypass I had installed and the pressure was restored. I called WB during business hours and was directed to voice mail. I left a message but got no response. I emailed them and this morning they called and said that the resin was at life end and that shipping new resin to NV would cost me $220. Another reviewer with knowledge of chemistry pointed out that the resin bonds with iron in the water and displaces more volume than it did when new. I took the resin tank out as before and undid the bung in the tank bottom with a socket wrench and applied pressure to the inlet coupling from a hose and monitored the water flow out of the output connector. I used a #10 can to catch the resin as it came out of the bung hole. After two or three tries monitoring the water output, the flow seemed adequate. In the #10 can I had about 1/2 can of resin and had restored the water flow.

I got this to replace a worn out old Culligan water softener. I love the size of this (about the size of a trash compactor) and the ease of filling up the salt (slide the door and dump it in). It was very easy to install and set up. I also like the fact that it has a built in filter that if flushes and cleanes daily when it regenerated. I did install a sediment filter just prior to the water going into the softener, because we are on a shared well and have a lot of sediment and also get that sulfur smell too. We noticed our water was so much better after getting this all hooked up. All the staining in our showers and toilets is gone too. Now, I just want to hook up an under-the-counter reverse osmosis system in the kitchen for our drinking water and refrigerator ice. I recommend this product and have not had any issues with it so far. Plus, it's made in America!
