I bought the 7/8-32 tap and die set. The tap is a bit oversized and I cant use it to match the correct threads on an item I am replicating.The die is slightly too small, same problem. I measured and compared to the spec and they're both over and under, past the max major diameter.Ugh! Just a quick glance and I don't think that if I make a set of these parts that the threads these cut would even match up.High precision these are not but to be that far from the maximum major diameter is awful.
