Don’t try to put it on your wrist because it will break immediately

Pressed the sound button when I received it in the mail. Wouldn’t turn on, then finally did after several times pressing it. Then wouldn’t shut off. Wouldn’t trust this to work when needed.

This is a great idea however, mine malfunctioned when it came into contact with water. The light and alarm came on and would not shut off via the buttons. I feel a survival bracelet should be durable.

Gave this as a gift for Christmas to my daughter's bf, since he likes to hike a lot. He liked it. Said everything worked.

This is a very large bracket - a bit too large for me to wear but it is good to snap on to my backpack so I have all of the benefits. Some of this is a novelty. Not sure I would trust this compass if I was really lost in the woods. But the alarm actually works and is very loud. That alone makes this worth it. It is easy enough to set off but not so easy that I would do it by accident. If I was walking, I would consider wearing this on my wrist or looping it somewhere that it was more accessible because of the alarm. The whistle is also pretty loud.Other than that, having the paracord is never a bad idea. I’ve used paracord as zipper pulls, shoe laces, etc so I know how the variety of uses that can have.As I said before, this is a novelty item but isn’t bad.

...to see if various devices meant to protect you in the woods actually worked as planned. I wore it for a couple of days and discovered that if you want to use it, only wear it in the woods because otherwise it becomes annoying. But, this is great to take with you, and if you added the right utilitool, you could take care of yourself out in the woods indefinitely. You have a compass and thermometer, to help keep you aware of where you are and local conditions, a whistle and lights to attract attention, a loud noise to suggest to wildlife they go elsewhere, not to mention the firestarter and the paracord, which can be used for a zillion useful things. Compact and easy to carry kit, and a good value.

there's nothing about this that is particularly useful and I find that a lot of these little paracord bracelet tools don't have anything particularly special about them that stands out. this is no exception. that said if you're one of those folks that like to have at least something on you at all times putting this on your ankle isn't such a bad idea and just leaving it there. there isn't a whole lot of paracord here so I wouldn't expect it to get you out of any serious emergencies. All of this said I think it's built pretty well and will be a good bracelet that doesn't fall apart on you over time.

This is actually a pretty cool thing. Got it for my son and he is happy with it! He thinks it’s the greatest thing ever. It does everything that it says it does! Very easy to get a spark and start a fire. I highly recommend it!
