In love with these signs! The signs themselves come separately from the stands, which is perfect and allows you to use them vertical or horizontal. The base holds the sign well either way you place it. Erases well with warm water and a towel. Have only tried actual chalk so far so not sure how well the chalk pens/markers will erase, but I imagine they will do great too. These are perfect for my table at a craft fair.

These aren't like the chalkboards that teachers used in the old days, and that's a good thing. They are thin but not fragile, the corners are rounded, and everything feels smooth to the touch. Unlike old-fashioned chalkboards, these are lightweight, and everything wipes off easily with no lingering residue. At first, I didn't think this was the right surface to use with traditional chalk, but it turned out the problem was with the chalk. I had been using chalk from a tub of multicolor sticks, but once I brough out the Crayola brand, writing was smooth, precise, and easy to read. I prefer the look of liquid chalk markers, which I used in my picture, but both have the same drawback of rubbing off with accidental touches. In other words, don't stack them on top of each other after writing on them, unless you don't mind doing it all over again. This is the case with all chalkboards, so it's not a knock against this manufacturer. If it's a sign that won't need changing, use fluorescent permanent markers instead. I wondered if the size might turn out to be too small, but they're perfect. They are large enough to be noticed, yet small enough not to be obnoxious. The ability to write on both sides and the option of landscape or portrait display gives it a versatility that makes this a high-quality product worth choosing over others.
