I bought these because my autistic 9 year old is obsessed with our walk pad and since it's on hardwood it gets quite loud and moves around a lot. These keep it from shifting and definitely reduce the noise without taking up any additional room like a mat would.As it says in the listing you do want to leave them outside to offgas for a few days but that's par for the course with most things made of rubber (I bought a plunger recently that I had to leave on the porch for a month!). I left these outside on the screen porch for a week but we've been having freezing weather; it would have been faster if the weather was warmer.
