Smaller burrs require faster speeds. 7, Soft materials, such as aluminum, use a grinding oil to reduce debris clogging. Grind glass, use water as lubricant. 8, Elongate holes, grip tool firmly with two hands and use a swinging motion, which prevents chatter, result in a safer cut. 9, Avoid impact loads, otherwise parts teeth will break off, shank will bend. Do not sink the burr for more than 1/3 of its periphery. 10, Recommendation for drives: shank 1/4" (from 300W), for coarse cuts, 500W+ advantageous.

This is a nice set of carbide burr bits from a major brand name. They are well made. Nice straight shanks, a clean joint between the carbide head and the shank, and nicely defined cutting edges on the heads. They spin precisely in my angle grinder with no deviation from center. I tested one on white oak and found that it cut well.

These rotary files are very handy to have on hand. They have so very many uses. They are all on a 1/4" shank but have different sizes and shapes of cutter heads. They are especially handy in the wood shop. They are fast cutting and stay sharp a long time if not abused. A nice assortment for my tool kit.

I had a cast iron clean-out cap that corroded off, allowing water and sewer gases to leak out. I was able to use this kit with a few different bits and some cutting oil to completely remove all the remnants of the screw-on cap from my cast iron clean-out. This kit and multiple bits allowed me to use my cordless Ridgid drills, both compact and standard, to work close quarters to grind away material to leave me with a smooth finish that allowed me to insert a cleanout test plug. Without this kit, I do not know what else I could have done besides tearing out the wall and replacing the entire piece. The bits stood up to a lot of abuse and kept cutting. I would constantly add cutting oil, which really helped keep the bit clean and cool. The assortment provides you with many different styles, allowing precision cutting or grinding. Its current price is $19.99, making this a very good purchase, if not only to keep it on hand to help you out of a pinch.

Its a small touch, but I like that they included both a base to hold them as well as a case. These will work with any 1/4" shank die grinder.THey will *not* work with a Dremel or similar rotary tool, nor a drill 3-prong collet (which simply doesn't go fast enough).

These are some serious routing and grinding bits. They are definitely NOT for a Dremel tool, you need a full size drill, etc for these. Nice set, comes with not one but two carry cases and a wood block to hold the bits if you don't want to keep them in the case. The big case holds the small case with the bits and the block but you could just take the small case out and throw it in your toolbox or bag and it would be fine. Nice selection of bit types too, should be good for any application I can think of!

These are high quality and extremely durable. Really impressed with them. I've only used them on Aluminum so far, but they cleaned it up like it was butter and the bit is still perfect. Awesome.
