They are typical furniture bolts. Work great.

The drill bit which comes with the inserts had misaligned tip, causing the bit to drift off center. The drill bit was too small for the dull inserts, causing the table legs to split. I had to use three other progressively larger bits before I found a size which would work with the inserts. The inserts have dull screw threads causing great difficultly inserting them. Typical inserts like this have sharp screws. Typical inserts are also made with a shoulder which allows for extraction if required; these have none, which resulted in great work to remove them when the holes I drilled proved too small. Had I not been in a bind and need six inserts immediately, I would have requested a refund. The set is a very poorly made rip-off. Never buy these!

Worked great. I liked the fact that the inserts come with the appropriate drill bit and insert tool.

When I Originally received these, i thought all my problems of feet and fastening for my homemade furniture have been solved.Bottom line, once they are in, they work great. My issue is getting them to stay in.Maybe it is because I work with a lot of MDF and it may not hold the Screw in as much as wood. Here is my issue: When I use the provided driving bolt to screw the inserts into the MDF, the friction between the driving bolt and the insert is greater than the resistance of the screw portion of the insert and the MDF. When I go to back out the driving bolt from the insert, the insert comes with it. I have tried these in Rubberwood and MDF. It has happened in both. They held a little better in the rubberwood, but the MDF is just impossible. I ended up using cording around the Driving bolt to try and lessen the friction to the insert. This seemed to work some of the time. Very Very Frustrating!!! I mean VERY Frustrating!I think on the next project, I will not use the provided drill. I think I will size down. maybe that will help with the friction of the wood preventing the insert from backing out.

I used these to hack some Swedish blue store furniture. The inserts are great and worked as you would expect and the bit is the right size and did a good job. But the install bit is worthless. It's threaded 2-3 time to much, so you can't use it to install the inserts in 3/4 inch material or it will just pull right out or through. I tried using a collar on it but it was not reliable at all. What I ended up doing is going to a big box store and buying a threaded M6 10mm bolt. That worked perfectly for installing them. Include a bolt instead, much more useful

El conector al ser liso, se regresa con la llave que es para ponerlos, la llave se traba, los tornillos se traban con el conector, al desenroscar se regresa el conector pegado al tornillo, la calidad es buena, pero el producto es malo, ya que no cumple con su función

We have some old pantry cabinets where the hinge screws were no longer holding and the frames were cracked. I drilled them out with the supplied bit, then painted the inserts with carpenters glue and inserted them until flush. After drying overnight, the hinges were remounted using the M6 flathead countersunk bolts that I ordered separately. I was able to tighten the hinges very securely, and expect that this repair will last a very long time. One watch out is that the countersunk bolts did not fit flatly into the hinge assembly, but my doors do close perfectly.

Make a hole thread it and use it. It’s pretty good and simple to use. Takes the guess work out of it.

These were great quality and easy to install. I used one of those inexpensive portable drill press/guide jigs for my power drill, and constructed a very simple zero clearance base plate for it (thin piece of scrap plywood attached with double sided tape to base of drill guide). That helped with making all of the holes uniform depth while also ensuring the holes are drilled perpendicularly. I used the same setup to install the threaded inserts, and this helped make sure they went in perpendicular as well. You may notice that some reviews mention that these inserts work best when they are installed perfectly perpendicular to the surface, which is difficult to do without a jig.Five stars!

Some tips for install:-do a practice one first-mark off the drill depth on the included bit, at least 1/16th deeper than the depth of the insert. Also check how deep your bolt is going to go, you may need to go deeper.-drill a pilot hole before drilling the primary hole with a small bit, 1/8" diameter or so.-use epoxy in the threads if the joint is going to be subject to some load. Just a little will do. This is especially helpful if going into end grain or particle board-add a small nut to the inserted tool and thread it as far as it will go. This reduces the amount of thread engagement you need to get on the inserts.-coat the insertion tool in paste wax before using. This will help it extract easy and leave the insert behind. It will also keep any epoxy from sticking to the tool.

Well made product. Some minor difficulty inserting them into the wood where they bound and came back out while trying to remove the bit. Otherwise they seated better than the original inserts allowing me to complete my project without further complication.I recommend this product.

Ordered them for a wood working project but quickly realized they were to small for what I was attempting. Regardless, it’s a good product for the price. Easy to install and comes with all tools necessary minus the drill.
