Disconnect Power:

Easy to replace, just unscrew from motor shaft and screw new one on. I installed a new belt first after old belt broke. Still didn't spin the drum without slipping. Comparing the old pulley to this new one, I noticed the center part of the old pulley was worn down much smaller in diameter compared to the new pulley. This meant less surface area to grip the belt with, thus slippage. New pulley solved all problems and runs great. Price was roughly 1/3 of what the online parts stores are charging. Great value.

My dryer stopped spinning late last week. Upon a quick look under the hood, I noticed the belt had a big chunk taken out of it and was only hanging on by a literal thread. I replaced it and went about my business. It worked for about 15 minutes and then it stopped spinning again! I thought the motor might be going out, so I went to YouTube and watched a few videos. I noticed that the piece where you wrap the belt around looked different from mine, so I took the dryer apart again and completely removed the drum unit to get to the motor. This one little piece was broken and I didn’t realize it. The belt kept slipping off the pulley because there was nothing to hold it in place! I looked up the part on the Whirlpool website and they wanted $60 for a replacement! I have friends who are in property management that sometimes sell like new dryers for less than that! Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I found this listing. I bought one, it was here the next day. I took the broken one off and put the new one on and I haven’t had a problem since! I highly recommend!
