I bought these blades to replace the ones in my old Delta 8" jointer.The original blades were a full 1/8" thick while these new ones were 3/32". I didn't think it would make much of a difference and I suppose the thickness alone is not that much of an issue. The primary problem is that they do not hold an edge as well as the old blades do. They did not last much longer than about 8 working hours of planing and joining soft spruce. I went to the trouble of sharpening my old blades (something I wanted to avoid having to do all the time) and put them back in the machine and currently have well over 20 working hours on them and they are still sharp. I guess when it comes to these blades "they just don't make m like they used to," applies.I would recommend finding a better quality product.
