This thing did the trick perfectly! I have been using an oil filter socket that I just 3d printed and it worked for about 3 uses before it cracked. This tool however is made from stamped steel and it is significantly more durable. The dimensions are perfect for use on BMW oil filter housings, tight enough that you don't strip the housing exterior, but loose enough that you can actually get it off afterward. In other random comments, this thing rings as pure as any bell I've ever heard! even just gently flicking it with your finger gets it resonating.

I use this on my BMW for oil changes all the time. The oil filter cover on most late model BMW's are hardened plastic so taking a oil filter plier to them will easily mar them up. This tool fits perfectly and because it's basically and over sized socket, your ratchet makes quick work of your oil change. Definitely recommend this tool for any bmw mechanic.

It works. It's heavy, not flimsy. We will see how long it holds up but I think for the most part it'll be good to go

This tool fits the oil filter cap on my BMW 328i and makes it easy to remove (or attach) using a standard 3/8" socket driver or (better yet) torque wrench.

Good snug fit to change the oil but still easy enough to release.Precision grips for a solid fit.No issues on removal or placement and excellent price.It worked flawlessly changing the oil and filter for our 2011 BMW X6 hybrid.Solid buy for the price.
