I'm an avid quilter. I use acrylic rulers with rotary cutters for regular machine piecing, and I also do a lot of hand-sewn English paper piecing. My main hope in ordering these templates was that they would aid in cutting fabric hexagons for use with English paper piecing units. They should work really well for that.The templates are a good thickness, should work just fine with rotary cutters. The measurements seem accurate, and there's a good variety of sizes. They would work well to cut units for machine sewing, but used in partnership with paper templates for English paper piecing, they should make prep work for that method easier and faster.If I could make one suggestion - the manufacturer's part number is printed large and clear in the center of each template, but the dimensions are printed really small out in the seam allowance. Switching those two notations around would make them more user friendly.
