You have to pull hard to get it to do it's thing or there is just a gear grinding noise. There is a large clunk when you pull the lever that slams up through your hand. Concerned that this design will wear fast or break. I may try the green one to see if they have solved this issue and sell the one that is more fun to use.Big flywheels are great but probably not 9 tons worth of splitting. This unit wouldn't go through a piece of oak I had. My other splitter went through it like butter. The cycle time should be slightly reduced to get full power out of the big flywheels. It is crazy fast, even for a kinetic splitter. Sturdy.
