Not using this exactly as it was intended. Yes, for a spare tire, but not on the vehicle it was designed for. I removed the spare tire carrier from the back of my camper, and am currently modifying things to allow me to put it underneath the camper. I am using this lift for that purpose.The unit seems well made, and I believe it will do well for my purpose once the project is completed. Fit and finish seem very good. I would recommend it to anyone considering it.

This hoist is well made and painted to prevent rust. The "key" slot arrived full of grease to prevent rust and dirt build up in the passage. This is a good idea and worth leaving in place if possible until actually needing to change tires to keep road grime out.One problem that isn't the fault of the seller, but my own, is that this design does NOT fit a 2004 "Heritage" F150.I discovered the reason after ordering it. The 2004 "Heritage" edition is an exact holdover from the 2003 Heritage design, but built in 2004.If you have a 2004 "Heritage", you need parts for a 2003 F150.Hope this helps.
