How to properly use the projector lamp to extend its lifetime
1.After replacing the lamp first time. Initialize the lamp usage time on the projector.
2.After using the projector, do not leave the lamp on for a long time, no more than 4 hours each use time.
3.Regularly clean the dust of the lamp. Prevent the projector automatically shutting down due to temperature rise to protect the lamp.

In line with many reviews, it lasted almost 6 months on the dot before the dreaded blinking red light! This caused a triple blink, which after a lot of Googling, I found it's most likely due to a slow leak in the compressed gas within the bulb. I went with a different brand this go around in spite. Fingers crossed!

This Bulb is the best bulb I have purchased over the 7 years we have owned our projector.This bulb lasted longer then any bulb we have bought.Trust me, I know there are cheaper bulbs out there on Amazon - but spend a little more ($50) and get a better class and lasting bulb.

Wow! I bought this lamp for my Sony projector 1 week ago. Everything seemed fine and I was pretty happy that I got it the next day and had it up and running so fast. It was my first amazon purchase which gave me the big and I’ve bought 10 more items in the last week lol. But not happy with this bulb as it’s done after 1 week. I wasn’t expecting oem performance but 1 week?

Fits perfectly. Lasts 6-8 months depending on duration of use. Primarily used in the game room where the boy spends hours on video games. The original Sony bulb lasted almost 2 years with all the gaming, and occasional movie nights. I have ordered this bulb 5 times now. 4 out of the 5 bulbs have lasted the 6-months noted. I have only had one "pop" within the 30-day warranty period and it was replaced under warranty. At this time, I am at the break-even point on having ordered a new Sony bulb for $200. So you either pay $200 now for 2 years, or the $40 every 6 months is the way I see it. Given the age of the projector itself, and the fact it has survived 'til now, I will stick with these bulbs. They are a good product.

Going with 4 stars for now. It works, is bright, but has really bad burning plastic smell. Last time I had one smell this bad it burst after a few hours. The replacement to that had no smell and lasted over a year.

I bought this instead of the sony lamp because of the big difference in price. It lasted a total of 741 hours. I used the projector with a computer so it's on and off a lot. I'm very pleased with the result and cost. I've already bought another and I'll probably buy another when the current one blows.Thanks
