No user info at all, IE what direction to turn the crank, do you grind both ends or one end. The blade doesn't spin true and has a wobble, but that might not matter. I guess they want you to look on YouTube for direction of use. If no user info is included let the buyer know that ahead of time!

After I broke this in by spinning it a bunch of times it got much smoother, it was pretty jerky at first. Now it works great.

Definitely for the engine re-builder who knows their way around piston rings and why they must be ground to specs from the manufacturer. This heavy cast ring grinder is best bolted or clamped to the bench/stand for ease of use. As received the shaft needed a little lubrication for smooth operation. You'll need a 2.5mm allen wrench to work with the set screws.

When I first opened this ring filer, the wheel was tough to turn; kind of rough and gritty feeling. Sure enough, when I took it apart I found aluminum shavings inside the axle bore, and no lubrication. A little grease goes a long way here, and it would have probably eliminated the issue if they'd used a small dab during assembly instead of just jamming it in dry. Not a big deal, anyone who's building engines to the point that they need a ring filer can figure this out on their own, but I don't really like having to fix brand new tools.Aside from that, the filing wheel is a little bit out of true, so you can see it wobble as it spins. It still functions fine for the simple task of filing out ring gaps, but it just isn't a very precisely manufactured tool. It's at least built out of a big sturdy block of cast aluminum with steel hardware, so it's not going to break anytime soon. Also, this appears to be the same product that other brands sell for much more money, so I do think it's a good deal for what it is... But there's probably higher-quality designs on the market.

This is a pretty nice piston ring filer. The main table assembly is a well machined block of aluminum. The base and work surface are milled to a perfect finish. The crank assembly was a little stiff to turn when I first received it. It also bound a little while turning. I put a few drops of oil on the shaft and turned it for a while. Now it is super smooth. The grinding wheel has a little run out and isn’t exactly true, but that doesn’t affect functionality. This works fine for filing the rings in my dirtbikes. Plenty of working room between my rings and the crank handle. Way easier and better results than using a hand file.

The ring grinding tool, is good, it needed a bit of adjustment but once adjusted it works flawless, solid little tool, does the job and not expensive at all, great manufacture and materials, very easy to use, good tool over all !

This is a nice, heavy duty piston ring filer. It's heavier than expected, but that's a good thing so it doesn't move while filing. It has nice smooth action and a good quality file wheel installed. So far I've used it a few times and it has filed a few rings just fine.
