This is an odd experience because I purchased this item 5 years ago and it worked well.Upon installation of this lamp on my Optoma UHD65 projector and turning it on, I heard a loud static sound and immediately the projector started smelling like it was burning. Had to quickly turn it off and reopen the lamp chamber. I couldn't take the lamp out because the casing around the power connector had melted and fused to the projector. Now my projector is useless. What a horrible experience..

I have an older Optoma projector and needed a new bulb to replace my old bulb. My old bulb is several years old (8 years plus?? I don't really recall when I replaced it last). I wanted a spare when the current one dies. I'm a huge sports fan and watch sports on our big projector all the time. I didn't want to be without one if/when the current bulb dies, and then be without a replacement during a game...I know, first world problems...I swapped out the bulb just to test it to see if it works well. This new bulb works perfectly, and actually may be a bit brighter than the old one, which would make sense since the other one has been used for years already. I may actually leave this bulb in and use the old one as a spare now.The only question is, will this bulb last as long as my original replacement....only time will tell.

Had some issues initially and realized that I didn't have the lamp cover screwed down tight enough. Once I fixed that the new lamp fired up and works great

The package arrived on time I haven't installed it yet as the old one is still ticking but I'll definitely update this review when I get it installed. Everything looks great and the customer service so far was great!
