The Nuts on the bolts will not stay on. They are constantly falling off. You cannot tighten them down to much because then the tool will not move as it should. Locking nuts with washers would do the trick. Does work as it should when it stays together.

It has two locking nuts per arm and is fairly hard to get into a position to attach it. I used this one for clamping a drain cover on in a basement. Once in position, very sturdy. Getting it there, a little more troublesome.

I originally bought this puller on a whim when I saw a YouTube video of guy using it to pull a stuck keyed rim off of a John Deere lawn tractor. That unfortunately never worked for my scenario but I've found this is really great for breaking free stuck disc brake rotors that are rusted to the hub. hook it up, screw in the center bolt to create tension on the puller, hit it with a trigger pull of an impact wrench and the rotors pop right off. Both cases are not the intended use but if it works, it works! original packaging was fine, no frills. Can't beat the price but I'm not sure its of the highest quality to be heavily used in an industrial application.

I have to start by saying that this is not the correct harmonic balancer puller for a 1994 Mustang GT UNLESS you have the unfortunate luck to have the bolts for the crankshaft drive pulley break off in the balancer. With that, I knew I had to replace the balancer anyway so I was not concerned about damaging the balancer. For anyone with the broken bolts problem, then this tool is a must as there's really no other option unless you want to drill out Grade 8 bolts. I chose this tool and am glad I did. My balancer was really stuck on and I tried every other possible way to get it off. Awesome tool and definitely a keeper as it's adjustable for many uses and worked perfectly.
