Not a 5 pound slide hammer. More like 2-3 pound piece of metal that slides on a rod. I did not weigh the actual piece of metal. But definitely not 5 pounds. Maybe the complete package is 5 pounds...Works as intended.5/8-18 threaded rod

Works as advertised, wish it had more/better head options as working with thin metal proved difficult as the angle of the heads caused it to slip constantly. Would buy again.
