You don't need to add oil when you use it the first time.
Please make sure the installation site is clean. Or, it will cause operating obstruction, even making the temperature of the compressor very high, and the belt on the clutch may melt.

This isn't that old of an Explorer to have blown out an AC compressor so I think it got some bad refrigerant just before we purchased it used for a little delivery-runner for the shop. AC went out and even in winter in Florida that's a non-starter kinda thing for staffers so I was happy to find this. Did full system evac first (very important!) then installed this and found all fittings lined up and locked in without leaks (we dye-checked it). Now we're feeling COLD AC, and it was an easy swap-out for my fleet guy.

Iām on a budget and needed air conditioning. Unit bolted right up (2013 explorer), changed the seals and charged her up. Cool as ice at half the price what more could you want
