Product Description

Installation steps and precautions
Remove the old clutch
1. Locate the compressor:
- Open the engine compartment and locate the A/C compressor (usually located on the right side of the engine, belt driven).
- Clean the compressor surface of dust and make sure the operation area is clean.
2. Remove the belt:
- Loosen the belt tensioner with a wrench and remove the drive belt from the compressor pulley.
3.Remove clutch front cover:
- Remove the clutch front cover retaining screws using a 10mm socket.
- Gently remove the front cover to expose the internal clutch and coil.
4. Remove the clutch assembly:
- Use the puller to secure the clutch center shaft, turn the puller screw counterclockwise and slowly pull out the clutch disc and bearing.
- CAUTION: Avoid forced prying to prevent damage to the compressor shaft.
5. Remove solenoid coil:
- Disconnect the coil power plug.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the coil fixing screws and take out the old coil.

Install new clutch kit
1. Clean contact surfaces:
- Clean the compressor shaft and clutch mounting surface with a non-woven cloth to remove oil and rust.
2. Install new solenoid coil:
- Align the new coil with the mounting holes, fix the screws and tighten (torque: 8-10 N-m).
- Reconnect the power plug.
3. Install the bearing and clutch disk:
- Apply a small amount of high temperature grease to the compressor shaft.
- Align the new bearing and clutch disk with the shaft holes and tap them with a special tool or rubber mallet until they are fully seated.
4.Install pulley and front cover:
- Install the pulley back and make sure that it rotates smoothly and without jamming.
- Fix the front cover screws (torque: 10-12 N-m).
Install the drive belt:
- Reinstall the belt onto the compressor pulley and adjust the tensioner to the proper tension.
Function test:
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Start the vehicle, turn on the air conditioner and observe if the clutch is properly engaged/disengaged.
- Check if the pulley runs smoothly and there is no abnormal noise.
Precautions
Torque Requirements:
Always use a torque wrench to avoid over-tightening or loosening of screws (refer to Honda Service Manual standards).
Parts compatibility:
Ensure that the new clutch kit model is an exact match for Honda Fit 2009-2014 1.5L
Safety Warning:
Avoid finger contact with rotating parts during operation to prevent pinching.
Lubricant Selection:
Use only high-temperature specific grease (e.g., lithium grease); do not apply too much to cause slippage.
