The main functions of the air-conditioning AC contactor include: controlling the start and stop of the air-conditioning compressor and protecting the compressor from frequent starts and stops. Cooperate with the air conditioning control system to realize automatic control of air conditioning. In the event of overload, short circuit and other faults, promptly cut off the power supply to protect the safety of the air conditioning system. I picked these up for a custom test project for use with a winch controller. This requires two contactors, one two pole, one four pole. The winch only draws 10a, so this is a bit overkill, but I figured we may upgrade the winch at some point to something bigger, so better to over engineer than not. They work well for what I need, and meet the cut in/out speeds required for the project. Haven't gotten everything quite ready for full testing, but from what I have done, these perform very well and I'm quite pleased with them. For their intended use for HVAC, they should work very well if you are needing to replace one.

I’m using this contactor to control a 240 volt two HP irrigation pump. The 120 volt coil is controlled by a radio frequency remote control. The capacity of this contactor is more than twice what its rated at, so I expect a long life. It’s performance is flawless so far.
