Bought this for my Acer spin 5.My computer does not recognize that the battery exists. I have to leave my computer plugged in now. And now my computer isn't even starting up when it's plugged in. It starts up to a black screen and is running extremely sluggish when it was before this. Never had any issues with the computer until I changed this battery

You need to read the listing carefully to be sure your device is compatible with this battery. I got this one for an old Aspire R13, and it works perfectly. Like this desc mentions, it's best if you crack your device open to actually see the numbers on the existing battery. Also be very careful when attaching the white plastic connector to the plug on the mobo is secured properly, and again when you're reattaching the back cover. I thought mine wasn't working until I pulled the cover back off to find that the white plug had pulled out slightly preventing the battery to show as connected.

This the second battery - the first one would not charge - after all the steps for an Acer Swift 3 laptop were done and retried. I returned that one, and the replacement works perfectly. The "no recharge" issue for replacement LT batteriesis common. Note that Amazon includes a warning on some batteries regarding being a heavily returned item.However, the second battery is fine and working well under heavy usage. A 5th star is appropriate for the 2nd battery.

It has a different model number then my original battery and I was nerves. but this one fit perfect and has been working just FINE! for at least 3months.
