Cellar keeps my salt and pepper fresh and it doesn’t take up too much on my countertop. Easy to clean.

This is a nice smaller size salt keep. The design is exactly as pictured and easy to use. Opens and closes easily. Nice quality smooth wood. Good value for the money. Perfectly stylish for our countertop.

This is a nice divided salt cellar - beware that is is VERY lightweight and the included spoon is not magnetized although it fits smoothly into the lid. Many wooden salt cellars are designed with the top swiveling open - this one has two magnets that keep it in place, but it’s not designed to swivel. I bought it for our small camper and will keep it, but it’s definitely not what I was expecting.

I was excited to get this double chamber salt cellar (Twirlux Acacia Salt Keeper and Pepper Bowl - Salt Cellar and Storage Box with Two Compartments - Spice Herb Sea Salt with Built-in Spoon - Magnetic Swivel Lid Lid to keep the dust out) since I have a collection of fancy salts. I have another salt cellar I use a lot so I'm comparing the two. This salt cellar is a good idea but poorly executed in my opinion. I was surprised that it wasn't nicely finished as my other wood salt cellar. I think this needs to be sanded down a bit with fine grit sandpaper and rubbed with some cutting board wax I have to give it a better smoother finish. Each compartment is small and moving forward, I would opt for just one compartment as is the case with my other one. A wider opening would make it easier to reach in with my fingers to grab a bit of salt. The included spoon nestles into the lid but I found the spoon to be way too thick to really dig into the salt for scooping with any kind of ease. Maybe it is easier with finer grains of salt but the two I put in this salt cellar was coarse grain celtic sea salt and flaky maldon salt. If the tip of the spoon was sanded down to a nice angle, it would make scooping salt easier but I get that they made it that way so it sits flushed to the lid. I like the idea of the spoon fitting onto the lid but I did not like this lid. My other one has a hinge pin to allow the lid to swivel open and close without losing the lid but you need a larger area to swivel the lid too so it isn't that ideal either. This container has a lid that is held by small magnets that has to be aligned properly to keep it shut. If you flip your lid around, the magnets repel so it needs to be put back on right, I may mark my lid with a small strip of white label tape so it is easier to align it. I don't have time to always figure out which way the lid goes on. The magnets are also very weak. I've dropped my lid many times now and the spoon goes flying too. This isn't making my life easier unfortunately. It's a nice concept but really lack in the execution and quality. To me, it isn't worth the listing retail price for what you get. I may end up hacking this to make it better for my needs. I think a small magnet for holding the spoon would be useful as well. I guess my search for the perfect salt cellar continues.

The inside is rough and not sanded. This means you may slice your finger grabbing salt from it and or you may get some wood pieces in your food. The magnets are weak and the top slides off way too easily. Not happy with the quality of this.

Overall, this is a great little salt cellar. I put it through its paces during a four-day long preparation for this year's Thanksgiving feast, and I have to say I'm quite happy with it overall. Having two divisions (for salt and pepper, two kinds of salt, whatever) is quite convenient. And I like the little spoon that rests in the lid, even though I generally just dive right in with my fingers when I'm cooking. There are a couple potential flaws or downsides you should be aware of, but I don't think they detract much from the overall value. First, because this does include two separate compartments, each one is relatively small. If completely filled to the top, this means it's quite easy to accidentally spill from one compartment into the other, and it also means it's a little harder to get a particularly large pinch of salt in one go. However, if you keep it just slightly less than full, it should serve for most occasions, and makes it convenient because both the salt and pepper are in the same place. Second, the wood feels a bit rough and unfinished. That's not a big downside for me, but if you really want a smooth interior, you might have to give it a quick once-over with some sandpaper. Finally, just be aware that the magnets are decent at holding the lid on, but are not particularly strong so you can't pick it up by the lid without spilling. For me, none of those is a major problem, so I'm quite happy with it. If you think similarly, you should be happy with it as well.

The picture on the product page looks somewhat nicer than this thing does in person. The biggest complaint I have with it is that the wood is kind of rough. I expect food containers to feel smooth and non-porous. Anything you put in this I suspect will leach into the wood over time. The second complaint I have here is that the lid does not fit exactly. The lid shape doesn't exactly match the bowl, and it wobbles slightly when you touch it. There are magnets that hold the lid very gently in place, but I would have much preferred a lip to dock into like a normal lid.The little spoon is neat, but ultimately I can't recommend this.
