It says 200+ breaking away so I kinda expected it. Even tho I knew that it was a on the cheaper side I hoped for a “diamond in the rough”. It’s not a bad buy and it does work and holds pretty well but don’t be like me and expect too much.

I got this to hold a jig for cutting pipes and it works great for it. Once it is locked on, it takes a lot to move it if you can. I has a threaded hole on top so you can mount basically anything you want to it, which is nice.

Used this as a magnetic lock for a hidden drawer. With the strength of this magnet, you can't pull it open if you knew it was there.

First one I received had the back blown out of it so the magnet wouldn’t turn on. Seller sent a new one out quickly. Second one functioned fine, but after a month or so the threads on top of the aluminum case stripped and I had to install a helicoil. Magnet is about as strong as expected.

I have used this magnet for all types of jobs keeping a piece of work held in place while it's been working on. But it can be used in other odd jobs also. I will place it inside of a grocery bag and use it to pick up metal debris from machining or to pick up screws and nails from a job site. Once everything is stuck to the magnet through the plastic up you can take it to where you want to put the stuff and just turn the on off knob to off and everything just falls away. Really makes clean up quick and easy.

I had to return the smaller one I bought before this one. The way they measure the strength of these is place it on an absolutely ideal conditions. Flat metal surface, No paint even, and lift it in a perfectly uniform way. So it comes strait up. Then double that force number cuz otherwise it's embarrassing.Not sure if I'm right? Well I also bought 1"X1X1 neodiuem magnets as well, and each one of those is by far stronger. But they don't turn off, ever.
