I had been using the lifetime warranty ones from Orielys and they would last for a few months before they would fail. My local orielys then said I couldn’t return it on lifetime warrant cause I had done this 5 times over 4 years and they would not honor the guarantee any longer

It’s a GM recalled part replacement. Easy to replace. If it still doesn’t clear your PO2135 , check the ground on the front of the passenger side head. Take it off and clean it. Also , how is the wire loom looking on the passenger side head? Replace what isn’t looking good.

Repalced the original one with submerssion damage and after watching a video, I tried it and that was almost a year ago, she still runs fine.

After trouble shooting this error code and testing the Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Range/Performance fault on my 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L (LC9) 4X4, I discovered that the sensor for this part was failing intermittently causing the error code to illuminate the check engine light on the dash display of the truck. The original OEM part in the description of this review is the exact replacement part needed to fix the pedal position sensor fault. It arrived as a kit with the sensor cover and clips that attach to the intake manifold housing. Please note that the clips will be a little difficult to install and will require a significant amount of force to secure. Light taps with a small hammer worked for me but be extra careful not to damage the plastic component if you decide to use this method. A little over a year has passed since I purchased this TPS and it failed, so I decided to come back and add to my review. I bought this TPS back in January 2019 and its now June 2020... huh imagine that, and I bet it was that damn Carol Baskins fault. Anyway, my Chevy threw two codes on me, a P2122 & P2138 which the code reader described as Throttle Pedal Position Sensor/ Switch D/E low circuit communication to the ECU. The symptoms experienced were loss of engine power, loss of traction control, and an inoperable intake throttle body causing the engine to starve for air. I went to Advance Auto and purchased a new kit and replaced it within an hour or so because I cleaned the throttle body while it was off the vehicle. I had no more error codes or dash check engine lights, and the problem was fixed. I believe the part costs $52 at the parts store.

2008 Silverado 5.3LUpdate: June 2015The part is working fine, the idle is back to normal but two months later P0121 re-appeared!Guys (or girls) don’t make the same mistake I made. When I changed out this part I did not clean the throttle body. Do yourself a favor and take the extra 20 minutes to remove the throttle body and clean it! It’s a very simple procedure. Youtube has a few good videos if you’re unsure about taking this step. The truck (75K miles) runs like a champ now!April 2015I was getting code P0121 & the truck was rough idling. First thing, check & make sure the connection to the sensor is secure, this may be the problem. Second, disconnect the battery. Third, changed this part out & it was a snap. It fit perfectly, less than an hour and the truck was back to normal. I ordered the part and it arrived two days later!
