Mine's not noisy at all?swapped out the high pressure sensor and added the oil and easy installvacuumed and refrigerant. Second can and clutch stayed on and we're in businessIs there a core charge? Does the dealer want the old compressor for rebuilds? Never really noticed

this compressor was extremely noisy from the start. The noise went away because the clutch quit working on a high 90s day with a 105 heat index. Vehicle is basically unusable due to this being the SOUTH and its too hot to endure without A/C.I do not recommend this compressor, and good luck finding a link to seek a refund/replacement.Since I have been burned with this deal, I would NOT want another of these Chinese POS components

This is a perfect for my 1996 C1500. I did have to take the high temperature sensor and move into this one. Here is a top: remove the snap ring. Then move the sensor around with some penetrating oil. Let sit a few minutes. Use an air hose and blow air into the large port. Cover the sensor with a rag so it doesn’t go flying. Install on the new one!

Had to get the mechanic to properly shim the clutch because it was catching and grinding when not engaged. Cost me extra for install but amazon helped me out with that. The compressor has been working great otherwise.

I had the part installed at a shop and the clutch was initially making a metal on metal noise. I've only used the vehicle for about 150kms with the AC turned on and the noise so far has not reoccured so hopefully it was just a break in period. There is a 12 month/20,000km warranty so will continue to monitor,

Factory fresh and brand new as expected. Unit comes with 2 small and 2 large flat sealing washers for the suction/discharge ports inside the box - this wasn't completely clear based on the listing.I installed this on a 1998 K1500 Suburban with front and rear air.Unit works great after I pulled a vacuum and charged the systems.Be SURE to change out the orifice tube when you have the system open. You can get them here (about $6) or at your local NAPA for about $2.50. If you have the dual air options, make sure you get the white body, not the green body orifice tube.

Fit perfectly, no adjustment nuts needed or different belt than what the old factory compressor used. Mine came nearly dry, or oil leaked out enroute/storage. I used FSM recommended oil 150 PAG 8 fl oz, poured in in over a couple hours and worked the compressor by hand to get the oil all around, replacing the cover plate it shipped with to also have it stand up/sideways etc to help work the oil around before installation. Also reused the compressor switch from my leaking one as this doesn't come with one.

I installed it in a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe and it works great. IT IS VERY VERY VERY QUIET, without any clutch noise in the cabin what so ever.Label says Made in Mexico, which is rare because nowadays almost all other AC compressors are made outside the American Continent.Compressor came DRY and without oil. It has a label stating that compressor requires PAG150. Watch out for this because for Chevy there are a number of recent TSB's that state to use PAG46, which apparently DOESN'T APPLY for THIS older OEM compressor. Also (depending on your vehicle and requirement) consider ordering a new pressure switch, which is located in the back of the compressor as this new compressor does not include that switch. When you transfer the switch you will need a new o-ring.

What can I really say? It's an automotive air-conditioning compressor. It's not pretty, nor shiny, nor lustful. It spins. It compresses R134a. It keeps me cool. My OEM, that was 17 years old, *** the bed and leaked oil/coolant.This one, is an exact replacement. Fit perfectly, installed without hassle, and managed to keep it's fluids contained. The clutch works when the AC is turned on and it does it's thing as expected, without fanfare.Keep in mind that this particular model # is for Suburbans WITH rear AC. There is a difference - so be careful.
