The tension stud sheared off while I was trying to install the belt. The oem tension stud is 15mm. The ac Delco stud is 14mm. It didn't hold up.

The original ford part used a 15mm cast-in hex to remove the belt. New one cast in hex must be imperial, didn't notice until i pulled the socket off- it had bit right into it. Original made in canada, this one is made in turkey.

The tensioner is well made and installed just fine but I ran into problems when I went to select a metric wrench to retract the tensioner to install the serpentine belt. It’s 9/16” which is not like the original which is metric; even the pulley bolt is SAE 1/2”. It’s not a deal breaker but need to remember to grab an SAE wrench as opposed to the old tensioner. Product arrived as expected with primes 2-day shipping and in good condition. Exact replacement part.When I installed this on our 2009 Ford Fusion the tab you put your socket on to release the tension broke off very easily. It appears (see picture) that there was an air pocket in the casting, weakening it. Being in a jam I had to swap the new pulley onto the old tensioner and re-install. Eliminating possibility to return it. PITA, but worse things.

Item was a replacement for OEM belt tensioner pulley on 2012 Ford Fusion. It was a direct fit with no problems installing. Along with a new belt my belt noise went away and back on the road running fine. Highly recommend this item! Thanks Amazon!

Same as Gates 38452. So far I have had better luck durability wise with Gates Tensioners than Dayco. Made in Canada.
