This cable didnt come with a wire that goes to the alternator. The side terminal bolt was also too long. It did reach the starter and fuse box just fine tho. I ended up cutting off the side terminal on this cable then connecting a top post to it along with the old alternator wire which works fine. Youd honestly be better off just making your own battery cable tho

The red protective boot is not solid plastic fused around the bolt connector. It's thin & flimsy plastic that slips right off with a gentle pull. I secured it to the bolt eye & the cable itself with JB weld. I was sorely disappointed for price you pay for it. Yes ground cable is the same way. I will be writing a separate review for that.

I had to remove the battery bolt and replace it with the shorter one that was on the truck for my application. Everything else is quality.

Product was correct gauge and length, but the terminal to starter was bent 90° and the o ring terminal to junction block was too small around. I attempted to drill the hole out and the terminal snapped in half. Very weak metal. Oem was much thicker.

The small ring terminal on this assembly was too small to fit the stud where it needed to be attached. This required additional time to open the hole to a larger diameter. Also, the end of the heavy cable that attached to the battery cable was missing a locating tab to correctly position the cable on the starter.Just so typical of the quality of products manufactured today.

Cable bend at the starter worked. Length was good but the wire to the alternator was about 4 times too long i just zip ties it. As well as the eye hole to the alternator was not large enough I just used a rat tail bastard file to make it fit see the picture. Works as expected so far it was for a 1997 chevy k3500 6.5l Detroit turbo diesel
